Balloon Sculpting 101


While working at an event as a balloon twister, I was asked for a straight ballon for the child to twist themself. This caught on and soon all the kids there were asking for straight balloons to twist. I taught a few simple twists and the three twist balloon dog and the kids were having a blast. One little girl named Haley, about 3 years old, made me this:



"It's a bracelet," she said and asked me for the marker so she could draw the face on. I think it's adorable! Her parents walked up just as she was giving it to me and I told them how proud they should be to have a future balloon artist on their hands. Here I am wearing my new balloon bracelet:

Learn how to create balloon sculpture that you won’t see at fairs or restaurants. Best suited for small groups, party goers will be furnished with a hand pump and a pile of balloons to practice their twisting skills. Attendees will learn basic twists and techniques that will enable them to create a variety of impolite and rude balloon sculptures that will leave you in stitches! The last moments of this party are reserved for open creation time to create custom designed sculptures. This part can get really ridiculous so be sure to have a camera ready! All partygoers will be able to take home their creations and a basic instruction sheet for the next time they need to be a little rude.
